Organizing Members on a Joomla Website

It is often that we want registered users on our website and their information needs to be collated and maintained.

A member’s directory extension helps in the organization of user profiles with the facility to put out member information in an easy searchable directory. Some typical uses of the directory are slated under:

A Member’s Directory for schools/college websites
Teachers and students can create their individual profiles on the school/college website and hence one can organize all the members under one roof. Parents and teachers can access information about each other. This enables the teachers to get in touch with parents as need and vice versa. Groups of users can also be formed thus bringing people with a common interest under a category. Example, Parents of Kindergarten students and so on.

A Member’s Directory for Non-Profit Organization websites
Non-profit organizations can make use of members’ directory by allowing its members to edit their individual profiles and keep it updated. By adding some customized fields to the profile information like “Number of Area’s supported”, Key Competency, etc. will definitely help the Organizing Committee to locate the right person in case of an unexpected issue.

A Member’s Directory for Club websites
Clubs like social clubs, ladies club and the like can make use of a directory to have its members on the board. With easy access of contact and other relevant details on one website, running and organizing events become easy.

A Member’s directory for office websites
Running an office and managing the employees is a key job, especially if the office is spread over more than a single location. All the Office members need to be members of the website and different department groups need to be organized. ? Making use of a member’s directory, which allows categorization of the members, makes this a breeze

A Member’s directory for Coaching institutes’ websites
By using Joomla member directory the teachers at the coaching institute can have all his/her students under one roof. Students also can get all the relevant details about the teachers on the board and can get in touch with them on personal basis. Having teacher’s contact details and other relevant information at their disposal, one feels confidant and can clear doubts personally by contacting teachers.

A Member’s directory for community websites
Living in a society apartment with another thousand residents with all facilities is exciting but sometimes an uphill task when it comes to getting to know about each other. Sometimes, one may need to know about the details of the security in charge, or the maintenance in-charge contact details. Similarly, in case of an emergency like a fire, members of the society need to be contacted on a SOS basis. A good member directory can have all these people with their full information. One will just need to log in and can then get all the relevant details of a guitar teacher, a doctor, security in charge and the like given they have their profiles on the website.

JTAG Members Directory is a component extension for Joomla! CMS. It helps in the management of user profiles with the ability to publish member information in a simple searchable directory. This extension is a hot favorite for Joomla Users.
